Carne Asada
Juicy, charred steak with a punchy herb chutney. A game-changer for your next BBQ!
Ingredients (Serves 3 - 4)
- 500g flank or skirt steak
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- Juice of 1 medium lime
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt & Pepper to season
- 4 tbsp Safran Vert Coriander Chutney
- Lime wedges, to serve
- Fresh coriander, to garnish (optional)
Method
- Mix oil, garlic, lime juice, cumin, paprika, salt and pepper.
- Rub the marinade all over the steak. Marinate for at least 1 hour, however ideal if you can leave it to marinade overnight.
- Grill on high for 3 - 4 minutes each side (or until charred and cooked to your liking).
- Rest for 5 minutes, slice thinly and serve with coriander chutney, lime wedges and fresh coriander.
Top Tip!
Let the meat rest before slicing for maximum juiciness.
